Greenland: Arctic Vikings Fieldschool
Greenland: Arctic Vikings Fieldscool is an international archaeological fieldschool led by Greenland National Museum & Archives and supported by the Institute for Field Research. The field school is made possible through generous support provided by Ms. Connie DowningThe field school brings together 4 international and 4 Greenlandic university students for an intensive 4 week field course. The aim of the course is to investigate the newly discovered Norse farm NKAH 5500 in the central Vatnahverfi / Tasikuluulik region, South Greenland. The course involves both theoretical and pratical modules that will cover basic archaeological methods and practices, ranging from excavation and survey techniques to post excavation and curation practices.
